Eligibility

To be eligible for all benefits, you must be an active, full-time employee scheduled to work 30 hours or more a week.

Dependents You May Cover

  • Lawfully married spouses and dependent children up to age 26 regardless of student or marital status. Spouse does not include a person from whom an employee is divorced or legally separated or a common-law spouse.
  • Unmarried disabled dependent children within 31 days after the date the child attains age 26. “Children” includes natural children, adopted children, stepchildren and children who the Plan has determined are covered under a “Qualified Medical Child Support Order” as defined by ERISA. For more information, contact your local HR representative.

Employees Who Are Married To Each Other

Only one employee of a married couple who works for the company may elect employee and spouse coverage. Additionally, if you are married to another company employee and you have children, employee and family coverage may be elected with immediate family members under only one employee’s name.

Spousal Premium

If your spouse has the option to enroll in medical coverage elsewhere but is enrolled in a Hexcel medical plan, you will pay a spousal premium of $30 per pay period (bi-weekly) in addition to the rate for your medical coverage.
