Scholarship Program
Helping make college more affordable for hardworking students.
Support for Your Student’s Future
Each year, several renewable scholarships are awarded for full-time study at accredited institutions of the student’s choice. These scholarships are designed to support your family’s educational goals and are managed by Scholarship Management Services®, a trusted national organization.
Who Can Apply
Your child may be eligible if they are:
- Dependents age 25 or under, of active full-time Hexcel employees who have at least six months of service with the company as of the application deadline,
- They are a high school senior, graduate, or currently enrolled in a full-time college or vocational-technical program, and
- They are not already receiving a Hexcel Foundation-funded scholarship.
Scholarship Awards
Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years or until a degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance in a full-time course of study and continuation of the program by the Hexcel Foundation. Awards are for undergraduate study only. Awards to military academy appointees are for the first year only. Recipients may receive only one Hexcel Foundation sponsored scholarship.
How to Apply
Applications must be mailed with a complete transcript (not a grade report) and postmarked by mid-April each year. Online transcripts must include the student’s name, school name, grades, and credit hours. Applicants will receive confirmation once their application is received. If not, they can contact Scholarship Management Services at 507-931-1682.
Selection and Payment
Recipients are chosen based on academics, leadership, community involvement, work experience, personal circumstances, and goals. Applications from college-bound students and vocational–technical school students are evaluated in two separate groups. Scholarships are paid in mid-August through checks submitted to each recipient’s home address, payable directly to the student’s school.
